The Food Network, a website I have been diligently following since yesterday as I have to start fending for myself starting next month, has come up with a lovely list of dinner dishes that can be prepared in 30 minutes or less. This is the kind of list I could use, especially given how delicious some of the choices sound.
Chicken, Sausage and Peppers
Glazed Salmon With Spiced Carrots
The combination of a sweet honey glaze and high-heat cooking create a golden, crunchy layer of flavor on the salmon, while coriander and cumin add warm spice to sweet carrots.
Pappardelle With Snap Peas
Toss pappardelle pasta with sweet snap peas and a little ricotta salata for a simple, satisfying meal in about 30 minutes.
Inside-Out Chicken Cordon Bleu
Stuffing chicken is too much work for a weeknight. Instead, get all the same flavors together in this inside-out version, with boneless chicken breasts paired with Gruyere cheese and wrapped in ham.
Tagliatelle With Smashed Peas, Sausage and Ricotta Cheese
If you plan it right, this sauce should take about as long to prep as it takes to boil the pasta. The sauce is finished by tossing the pasta with some of its cooking water into the pan with the sauce.
Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwiches
This cheesy, broiled sandwich is hearty enough to serve as a simple dinner.
