Review: Bobbi Brown – Cleansing Oil

I’m a frequent Bobbi Brown user – foundations, concealers, face powders, and even the occasional lipstick. Last time I visited the Bobbi Brown store to replenish my concealer, I was talked into trying out the newly released cleansing oil. The shop assistant proceeded to apply some heavy eyeshadow on the back of my hand, and used the oil to get rid of it. 20 minutes later, somehow, it ended up in my shopping bag.

And I’m so glad it did. It removes makeup so easily, and I just cannot stress how easily. I don’t need to run my face any more than I do with a simple face wash. I smear the oil on my face, dampen my hands and lightly massage my face throughout. One rinse, and my face is devoid of any makeup, any oil, any dirt – leaving it smooth and so clean that when I touch my face and then my neck, my neck feels gross…I now use the oil on both my face and neck.

Not only does it make my skin clean, it also has a mild moisturizing effect, so that I don’t need to apply any product after using the oil (I usually dab on Clinique’s moisturizer just to feel like my face can breathe again). So my skin now feels clean, moisturized, and smooth. Just like the adverts say.

The cleansing oil is designed for all skin types and uses ginger roots to soothe the skin, and olive and jojoba oils which work together to actually dissolve the makeup, which is why its so mild I suppose. Another advantage of the cleansing oil is that its post-wash cleaning effect is perfect for makeup applications, so using the oil before applying makeup can help in the smooth application of foundation.

My recommendation: there are few better skin products out there. Get this!

  1. I love this product along with many other Bobbi Brown’s makeup and skin care line. Especially their Hydrating Eye Cream. Can’t live without it, especially before applying concealer!

  2. Nice post. I learn one thing more challenging on completely different blogs everyday. It’ll all the time be stimulating to learn content material from other writers and observe somewhat something from their store. I’d prefer to use some with the content material on my weblog whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a link in your net blog. Thanks for sharing.
